2008 Ladies Charity Skeet Classic Draws a Winning Crowd! |
|
When shooters come together for a worthy cause, everyone wins! The 2008 Ladies Charity Skeet Classic drew a crowd of almost 80 lady shooters from 28 states and Canada. After the last target was thrown, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital emerged as the big winner, as the event raised over $100,000.00 for their efforts.
The large Novice class turnout demonstrates how quickly the word is spreading about skeet shooting and the Ladies Charity Skeet Classic. With the event drawing so many women, organizers of the event added a sporting clay event this year in an effort to offer a broader shooting experience. No doubt the camaraderie and fun experienced during the Ladies Charity event will bring more women to the line each year.
Steve Phillips, Director of Sales at Krieghoff International, drew the winning name for the Krieghoff K-20 Millennium raffled off at the event. Mr. Steve Shackleford of Georgia was the lucky winner! After receiving the news, Shackleford became the newest and most elated member of the Krieghoff shooting family!
Congratulations to everyone who made the 2008 Ladies Charity Skeet Classic a successful event for the women who participated and for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
