Krieghoff is proud to offer the K-80 Trap Special Combo with fully adjustable high-post rib on the over & under, unsingle and top single barrel for point-of-impact (POI) adjustments. Built around the proven K-80 receiver, the Trap Special comes with 30" or 32” O/U-barrels and 34” Unsingle or Top Single barrel. The Trap Special can also be ordered as a complete gun with the barrel of the shooter's choice.
Titanium Choke tubes and a Monte Carlo trap stock with adjustable comb specifically designed for the high-post rib are standard features. Shipped from the factory with a 70%/30% POI in all barrels, the rib can be adjusted so the gun shoots a fairly flat 60%/40% or up to almost a full pattern high.
The higher rib provides for good visibility around the gun and quick target acquisition. An added benefit is the low recoil due to to a "heads-up" shooting position.
Particularly unique is the fully adjustable O/U-barrel for shooting doubles. Not only can the point-of-impact of both barrels be adjusted simultaneously, you may also adjust the spread between the 2 free-floating barrels by changing the front hanger which results in different POI for each barrel, if desired. This way the bottom barrel can be set to shoot higher than the top barrel.

Trap Special Pro
The K-80 Trap Special changed the way trapshooters looked at the game, with a higher rib and corresponding higher stock that allows for the shooter to have a more heads-up position, providing a broader sight picture and less perceived recoil.The Trap Special concept caught on quickly and became one of the most sought after competition trap guns on the market. As trapshooters came to know the Trap Special and appreciate its “head-up” design, some suggested Krieghoff should push the limits a little further. Designed to shoot almost a full pattern high, the Trap Special allowed shooters to catch the target quicker out of the bunker.
To compliment the Trap Special, the Pro Rib was added to the line up. This rib is designed for patterns of up to 120% high allowing the shooter to sight the target instantly as it rises up from the bunker.
The K-80 Trap Special featuring the Pro Rib is available through authorized Krieghoff Dealers. The Pro Rib is also available for retro-fitting on existing Trap Specials at Krieghoff International.

Trap Special DTS

The Trap Special DTS was born on the Double Trap Field. It is a product that has been directly researched and developed in conjunction with Olympic Double Trap Shooters. It has helped shooters such as Andreas Löw win the Silver medal at the 2011 World Championship and Billy Crawford, Jr. become the 2012 National Champion.
As with both the Trap Special and the Trap Special Pro you will find a higher rib allowing for a heads up shooting position with the benefit of more visibility and less perceived recoil. However, the DTS offers a strategically lower rib at the rear to provide extremely fast target acquisition, something that is necessary in the game of Double Trap.
This particular rib style is not only beneficial in the game of Olympic Double Trap, but is just as much at home shooting American Doubles. This rib features the same adjustment wheel as the other versions of the Trap Special to fine tune your Point of Impact and is available in 30" or 32".
The Trap Special DTS is available through authorized Krieghoff Dealers. The rib may be retro-fitted to existing Trap Special’s by contacting Krieghoff International, Inc.
