Krieghoff shooters gave us a lot to smile about during the 2012 Grand American.
From catching up on the past year, to seeing how much the junior shooters have grown, to welcoming new shooters to our family to congratulating so many on their Grand victories – it was a memorable two weeks in Sparta.
Harlan Campbell, Jr.’s induction into the Trapshooting Hall of Fame, was the first of many highlights for the All-American Team Captain. Harlan went on to win in Singles, captured the Clay Target and Doubles Championship finishing White Flyer 2600 HOA.
Richard Marshall, Jr. put forth a valiant effort staying in the game to take Clay Target Runner Up, 27 Yard 4th Place in the Grand American Handicap and Class AAA Runner Up in the All-Around.
Ron Sutton took Runner up in Handicap and Stu Welton took 3rd in the Doubles Championship. Stu finished in 3rd place in the High Over-All.
Kay Ohye took Senior Veteran top honors in the Clay Target Championship and the Doubles Championship easily capturing Senior Veteran HOA and HAA.
Junior shooter Joseph Recla finished Junior Runner up in the High Over All. Ian Recla was Sub Junior Champ of Champ winner. Kie Kababik and Noah White stopped by to share their trophies as well.
Grand attendees enjoyed cool weather during the main event week with the wind creating a few challenging target presentations. Earl Hawk from Texas was the lucky winner of the Trapshooting Hall of Fame K-80 Bavaria Royale raffle.
Congratulations to all who attended the Grand American. We appreciate your continued support in keeping the Grand traditions alive!
