Information gathered during the initial consultation lays the foundation for building your custom stock.  Questions pertaining to what sport you shoot, how you mount the gun, your individual shooting style, etc will be discussed.  Next, your preference as to wood color, grain pattern and grade of wood desired are covered.

Once this general information is gathered, the focus begins to narrow to the specifics of stock measurements.  A personal visit with Krieghoff International is encouraged - either at our Ottsville, PA location or at one of the national shoots our gunsmiths attend – to obtain measurements for your stock.  If a personal visit cannot be arranged, measurements taken by an expert stock fitter in your area can be used.  In some cases, measurements taken from a well-fitting gun you currently own can be translated into a Krieghoff custom stock.
