Krieghoff K-80 Skeet shooters placed well in USA Shooting’s Fall Selection Match held recently in Kerrville, TX. 

Placing high in the Men’s Skeet competition is Jon Michael McGrath in 3rd position and Frank Thompson in 4th position, Sean McLelland in 8th position and Cody Reed in 13th position.  In the Women’s Skeet competition Morgan Craft in currently in 1st position, Caitlin Connor is in 4th position and Jaiden Grinnell is in 5th position.

This is the first of two Olympic Team trials to select the two men who will represent the United States at the 2012 Olympic Games in London and alternate for Women’s Skeet.  The second round of USA Shooting Olympic Team Trials will be in Tucson, Arizona in May, 2012.  Kimberly Rhode has already been named to 2012 USA Women’s Skeet Team qualifying through a points system established in 2010.  She qualified in 2011 prior to the Olympic selection match.  Through quota stop earned at overseas competitions the USA has maxed their spots with two spots for men’s skeet and one spot for women’s skeet.
