Krieghoff’s Harlan Campbell, Jr. Sets New Personal Record at the 2018 Grand American Trapshoot

Longtime Professional Shooter, Harlan Campbell, Jr. demonstrated at the 2018 Grand American Trap Shoot in Sparta, IL, that he is truly the master of trap shooting in the United States.

Harlan’s Krieghoff K-80 performed flawlessly allowing him to capture his first back-to-back ATA World Clay Target Championship, a feat not performed at The Grand American since 1936 when Joe Hiestand from Ohio achieved this tremendous shooting feat. With a perfect run on a total of 500 targets, including two nights of shoot-offs, Harlan conquered a total field of 2085 shooters. The initial shoot-off field of sixty-seven shooters the first evening was a grueling 200 targets and lasted until midnight eventually dwindling down to four final shooters for the championship shoot-off where Harlan emerged victorious.

Harlan Campbell, Jr commented, “it’s always good when you repeat something within the history of the game. This year was a good year for me. Here at The Grand, my Mom and Dad couldn’t make it out, and I was a bit off early in the week. it’s always nice when the good Lord smiles, and some sunshine comes through.”

Congratulations, Harlan, from your family here at Krieghoff International. We couldn’t be more pleased about this accomplishment for you.
