22 Jul Katie Jacob Earns Back to Back Medals
Katie Jacob showed she is made of determination and grit at the 2019 World Championships held in Lonato, Italy. After making her way into the finals, Jacob hit a bumpy patch dropping several targets, but never lost her focus. She dug deep and went on to win the Silver Medal in Junior Skeet.
Jacob’s Silver medal keeps the U.S. Junior Women’s Skeet program’s medaling in each of the 11 World Championships streak alive. Since 2005, Junior Women Skeet competitors have earned 14 World Championship medals.
Finishing out her last year as a Junior Competitor, Katie Jacob is described as a hard-charging athlete who knows how to turn up the pressure. Traits of a Champion that will definitely carry her far!
Certainly as far as Suhl, Germany where Jacob competed in the Junior World Cup and won the Bronze in Junior Women’s Skeet. Competing in back to back international competitions tests the most seasoned athlete, medaling in both events takes endurance and focus.
Jacob brought it all and more to Italy and Germany proving herself a steady force in Women’s Skeet.
As Katie Jacob prepares to move into the Open ranks with sights set high and a solid foundation under her, we all wish her continued success and many more trips to the podium.
Congratulations Katie, we are proud that you are part of our team!
